Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is on the verge of losing one of his midfielders Cesc Fabregas this month as reports claimed the player has reached an agreement with Monaco.

Monaco manager Thierry Henry, who was Cesc’s teammate in their days at the Emirates stadium, can’t wait to reunite with the player as he hope to turn things around in the second half of the season.

The Spaniard is reportedly on his way to the Ligue 1 struggling side and he could be unveiled as early as Monday.

In this regard, Sarri has identified Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella as the man to replace the outgoing player.

According to a report from Alfredo Pedulla, the Blues are set to offer a staggering £45m bid for his signature this month.

Barella is being monitored by many European giants and Sarri is planning to hasten his move for his compatriot in order to beat other competitors to his signature.

Napoli and Inter Milan are equally interested in the Italian player and both clubs are likely to make an official approach to his representative any moment from now.

In other Chelsea news, newly-signed winger Christian Pulisic has revealed his eagerness to team up with the Blues.

While speaking to reporters on Saturday(yesterday), the youngster confessed his readiness to feature for the Blues because he believes he has all it takes to be successful at Stamford Bridge.

However, the 20-year-old USA prodigy will need to wait till next season before playing for Sarri’s team as he will be with Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.

He has failed to command a regular place at the Westfalenstadion Stadium throughout this campaign as Jadon Sancho continues to get the manager’s trust.
