Arsenal Ready To Ruin Liverpool’s Transfer Plans With Bid For Williams Carvalho and Gelson Martins

Arsenal are planning to ruin Liverpool transfer plans with a double raid on Sporting Lisbon duo Williams Carvalho and Gelson Martins, according to reports.

The Reds are believed to be pursuing the Lisbon winger, Martins and have even submitted a bid for the player which was rejected by the Portuguese giants.

Reports in Portuguese outlet, A Bola claim that Arsenal are now plotting to ruin Liverpool’s plans with a double raid on the Martins and Carvalho as Arsene Wenger plans on reclaiming a Champions League spot next season.

Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a long-term target for the young winger, although reports have it that the German is reluctant to meet Sporting Lisbon’s valuation for the player.

Wenger has tried to sign Carvalho severally in recent transfer windows with reports that he fancies the midfielder’s physical abilities.

Arsenal’s midfield suffered last season with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Mohammed Elneny failing to show up during the crucial stages of the season.

However, the Gunners might be wary of threat from league rivals with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United also linked with a move for Carvalho in the past.

Martins is regarded as one of the best prospects in his position, netting seven goals in 43 appearances across all competitions, and has drawn interest from the Premier League clubs due to his ability to play as a winger and full-back.
