Arsenal discussing with Man City to sign Argentine striker as part of Sanchez swap deal

According to The Gambling Times, Arsenal and Manchester City are in talks about a swap deal involving Argentine Sergio Aguero and Chilean Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez has just returned to pre-season training but is thought to have re-established his intent to leave after refusing to extend his contract.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with numerous clubs but Manchester City is reportedly his favoured destination and City manager Pep Guardiola is believed to be keen to join-up with the attacker once again having managed him at FC Barcelona.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists he won’t sell the Chilean if he doesn’t sign a new contract this summer but that resolve could be heavily tested if these latest reports are anything to go by.

Bailey has confirmed that Gunners chiefs asked about Sergio Aguero being included on the deal when contacted by Manchester City for the Chilean, and they are now giving serious thought to letting the striker go.

The Argentine has been a legend for Manchester City but he’s facing the prospect of sitting on the bench this upcoming season with Brazilian Gabriel Jesus favourite to start up front and Manchester City pushing hard to sign Arsenal contract rebel Sanchez.
