According to reports, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has told the Chelsea management that he still wants four more signings to be done before the end of this transfer window.
English stars Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Drinkwater are among those on his list, and the Italian manager reportedly wants to complete another deal on time before the Community Shield.
Conte believes his squad is still short of the depth it needs to succeed as there will be more responsibilities compared to last season where he was able to use the same players almost every week.
Additionally, the manager is also said to be keen on increasing the quota of the club’s homegrown players and is planning to sign three English players who could add more quality to his team before the commencement of the upcoming campaign.
And the Daily Telegraph reported that the three England internationals in view are Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater and Everton’s Ross Barkley.
Apart from the English stars,Chelsea are in the look out for left-back Alex Sandro. Even though the premier league champions have been able to bring in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata this summer. Conte still has a lean squad and Chelsea legend Pat Nevin also agreed with that.
