Arsenal Confident Of Keeping Star Player Despite Interest From Barcelona

Arsenal are keen on keeping their star player Aaron Ramsey beyond this season despite huge-money offer from Barcelona, Lazio and Chinese Super League sides.

The Welshman has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium due to the fact that he would be out of contract by the end of this year.

Though the Gunners have offered him a new contract, he has failed to accept the offer due to ‘relatively low weekly wages in the deal’

According to report, the 27-year-old is not contend with the weekly wages present in the contract and he has refused to accept the offer.

The Mirror reported last month that the club’s board of directors are in crunch talks with the player over his contract but nothing has been done since then.

However, Unai Emery is confident the Welshman won’t be released in the coming season as he is important to his dream of winning the Premier League title for the first in his coaching career.

Mesut Ozil saw his weekly wages increased to £350,000 when he renewed his contract in January, Ramsey is also hoping to earn nothing less than that financial value.

Both players were unconvincing against Manchester City last weekend and they also failed when they played against Chelsea.
