Manchester United eyeing move for Porto defender Eder Militao



Reports according to the Daily Record, reveal that Manchester United are in the pursuit of Porto defender Eder Militao ahead of the winter transfer market which reopens in coming weeks.

United are in search of quality defenders to help stop conceding goals as they have had inconsistent results so far this season.

Before the international break, the Red Devils were defeated 3-1 by rivals Manchester City and they returned again to play a goalless draw against Crystal Palace.

The Portuguese boss has blamed his poor defence for the bad season he has had and he is ready to have the Porto youngster who just left his home country of Brazil this summer after coming up through the youth ranks of Sao Paulo.

The young defender has been impressive so far despite going out from home for the first time and has caught the attention of a number of top European clubs.

Militao is already established as first-choice under Porto boss Sérgio Conceição in an addition to having the ability to play as a right-full back as well as a defensive midfielder.

Eder Militao has been tipped to be a perfect addition to the United team who are struggling to win games with their chances of a top-four finish looking very slim.
