Toby Alderweireld’s case is getting complicated, and it seems no one can rightly predict his plans for the future.
The talented defender has been heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham in recent times after he emerged as a target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.
There are claims he is fed up with life at Tottenham and that he is interested in switching to Old Trafford this summer.
However, speaking recently about his future in a recent interview, the Belgian star dropped some hints that he could actually stay at North London this summer and ignore other sides interested in securing his services.
Nevertheless, there are some other reports circulating in the media that Manchester United are hoping to seal his signing before the start of the World Cup.
Since the tournament is starting in less than 36 hours from now, then we can agree Jose Mourinho could secure the player’s signature today or tomorrow.
It was also added that although Toby is valued at around £50M by Manchester United, Tottenham are demanding £70M before releasing him.
It was claimed the London club are borrowing a leaf from Liverpool’s deal with Southampton in January for Virgil Van Dijk.
The Merseysiders paid a whopping amount of money to bring the Dutchman down to Anfield from St Mary’s, and Spurs believe Toby can command a fee close to that.
