Wenger confident star player will not leave for Chelsea or Man United

Arsenal star player Aaron Ramsey has been linked with a move away from North London in recent times after emerging as a target for the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea.

However, manager Arsene Wenger believes the player won’t be leaving the club anytime soon but will commit his long-term future to his side.

Ramsey has been superb at Arsenal in recent times. The Welshman scored a brace during his side’s 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the Europa League last Thursday.

Aaron’s current deal at North London is meant to expire in 2019, and it’s understood the Wales international is seeking a contract that will see a rise in his current £110,000-a-week pay.

Arsenal splashed huge cash to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the past January transfer window, and they also stretched their wage structure just to persuade Mesut Ozil to remain with them.

Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Ramsey, but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said the player is likely to remain at the Emirates Stadium.

The French boss told newsmen his side are currently having talks with the player and his camp, and he remains confident everything would be sorted soon.

Arsenal must win the Europa League to enable them to get a Champions League ticket for next season.
