Brendan Rodgers Reveals Why He Left Celtic For Leicester City

Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed the reason behind his decision to leave Scottish champions Celtic for the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers was appointed the Leicester City manager on Tuesday night and he will take charge of his first game when the Foxes travel to London to take on Watford on Sunday.

The former Liverpool manager was in attendance as Leicester City won their first game at home at the seventh time of asking with a 2-1 win over struggling Brighton and Hove Albion.

Demarai Gray and Jamie Vardy were on target for the Foxes while Davy Propper got the lone goal for the visitors.

During his pre-match press conference for Watford game on Friday, Brendan Rodgers revealed that he had to remove emotions to take the Leicester City job.

He also added that the offer was the right one for him.

Brendan Rodgers has been heavily criticized by Celtic fans after he worked out on the club in the middle of the season.

He managed Liverpool between 2012 and 2015.

Brendan Rodgers had a 50% win ratio as the Liverpool manager with 83 victories, 41 draws and 42 losses from the 166 games that he managed as the Reds boss.

He will be hoping for a better win record at Leicester City.
