Last summer, Manchester United shone among all clubs in Europe by spending heavily to reinforce their squad – including signing France international Paul Pogba for a world record fee. And as things are now, it appears the Old Trafford club are ready to spend heavily again to sign new stars this upcoming summer.
New reports have it that Manchester United have moved in to secure the signature of French international and Monaco star player Kylian Mbappe.
A Spanish news outlet Cadena Cope revealed that Man United are the only club to have made two offers to sign the talented teenage center forward.
The 18-year-old has been in fantastic form for Monaco this season. Recently, he was invited for the first time to the senior national side and he is expected to make his debut when his country – France, meet with Luxembourg in the World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
This season, he has also been utilized on the flanks and he continues being impressive by displaying brilliant performances. The youngsters has, in 32 appearances, scored 19 goals and has provided 11 assists.
Even in their last ligue 1 game against Caen which Monaco won 3-0, he was involved in all the goals – he scored twice and set up one. He is a young talented star, and recently, Chelsea defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante hailed him as an exceptional player.
Manchester United reportedly made two offers worth €80m and €110m. However, the French club rejected both and insisted that they do not want to sell their talented player.
