Emery gives Leno big hint ahead of Europa encounter

After many days of waiting, new Arsenal recruit might finally be in the pole when Arsenal file out against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa game.

The goalkeeper who came in the summer with the prospect of beating the competition from Petr Cech and emerging as the first team goalkeeper but that did not happen as he did not get the nod from Spanish manager, Unai Emery in the Premier League.

Howbeit, tonight’s Europa game could be the opportunity for Arsenal fans to see their new stopper who had arrived Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

Emery has however given the player a big hint of becoming the first team goalkeeper even in the Premier League.

According to the former PSG manager, the culture of the sharing formula for goalkeepers in which one takes the league and the other takes European competition does not apply as he seeks to make do of the best.

He hints that should Leno ceases the opportunity to produce a good display, he will oust the former Chelsea keeper as his first choice.

Emery noted that his selection is strictly based on performance and nothing more.

Cech has been criticized for his several blunders in the league but that has not been enough for Emery to have a change of mind on him.
