Are you surprised that Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly is being heavily linked with a huge money transfer to West London giants Chelsea few hours after he netted the winner against Serie A leaders Juventus to help his side close to gap with the Old Lady to just a point? We aren’t anyways.
Huge offer on the table
As per Il Mattino, the West London club are preparing a €75m transfer for the Senegalese in the summer transfer window to bring him to the Premier League, an amount the Italian side would find very difficult to reject.
That huge amount isn’t new, as it’s been a repeated one over the seasons, with Koulibaly’s representative even coming out some years back to laugh at it.
Expensive transfer market
However, right now, things have changed and we now live in a football transfer market where such a figure isn’t even raising an eyebrow anymore, especially for a Centre-half of his quality.
The Italian publication explains Aurelio de Laurentiis is preparing himself for a summer transfer assault as clubs come with offers for his players by placing a massive transfer fee, even though he knows for a fact that he won’t be able to turn down all of the suitors.
