Revealed – Arsene Wenger finally disclose reason Lacazette is struggling

Arsenal tactician Arsene Wenger believes France international striker Alexandre Lacazette is heavily struggling for confidence because of the club’s decision to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the winter transfer window, according to the Independent.

Wenger confirms player’s quality

The former Lyon striker was signed in the summer for a club transfer record fee from the French Ligue 1 club but has found it difficult to maintain form as the campaign has gone on.

After a decent start, he has found goals difficult to come by and this has added to his evident lack of confidence in front of goal.

The French boss admitted that one against one with the goalkeeper, the forward is a good goal poacher who has experienced tough times before.

He confirmed the Frenchman works hard in training, especially on his finishing.

Wasteful striker

The striker had the opportunity to salvage at least one point for his side in the Derby match against Tottenham Hotspur last Saturday, but he wasted two good chances from the substitute bench.

Former Dortmund forward Aubameyang was signed in the winter as manager Arsene Wenger aimed to strengthen his team’s attacking line and it seems in doing that, he thinks Alex Lacazette’s confidence has suffered a major blow.
