Chelsea set to table improved offer for next January signing – report

According to British media reports, Chelsea are set to make a fresh and improved offer to land Edin Dzeko from AS Roma this window.

As per Daily Express, Chelsea are set to return to AS Roma with an improved bid for the 31-year-old forward as the west London club look to try and seal a deal before transfer deadline day.

The same article says that manager Antonio Conte wants to see the Blues complete a £50million double deal to sign both Edin Dzeko and his AS Roma colleague Emerson Palmieri before the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.

However, the same publication says that the Blues have been struggling to lure the former Manchester City striker to the Bridge makes sense. It is suggested that he isn’t interested in moving his family, who have only recently acquired a new house in Italy.

The Blues have already signed a player this window after having completed a deal to sign midfielder Ross Barkley from Merseyside club Everton.

Meanwhile, the reigning Premier League champions are currently getting prepared for their home tie against AFC Bournemouth in the League on Wednesday evening as they look to attempt and finish as high as possible on the log.
