Deal Almost Agreed! Chelsea to revive interest in 26-year-old Brazilian in the New Year – report

According to reports, Premier League champions Chelsea are prepared to make a new transfer move to try and bring in Alex Sandro from Serie A champions Juventus in the New Year.

As reported by the Daily Express, the Blues are preparing a new offer for the 26-year-old defender, who was linked with a transfer to Stamford Bridge when the current season ends.

Despite the rumour linking the Blues with a transfer to sign the Brazilian, a move failed to materialise as Antonio Conte’s side ended up bringing in six other players last summer.

The same publication states that the future of David Luiz at Chelsea is in serious doubt and that La Liga giant Real Madrid could join the race to sign the Brazilian next year.

The article says that the Blues are “expected” to rekindle their interest in bringing the defender to London in the winter transfer window.

A number of fresh rumour linking the Blues with a couple of players is expected in the coming weeks as the winter transfer window draws closer.

Meanwhile, Conte is currently getting his squad prepared for their English Premier League encounter against Newcastle United on home soil on Saturday lunchtime.
