Arsenal and PL rivals closely monitoring box-to-box German star

According to a report from Mirror, via Sky Sports Germany, Manchester United and Arsenal are closely watching Marco Reus at German side Borussia Dortmund in view of bringing him to England.

The attacker who was once seen as one of the best thing to have happened to German football recently has seen his playing career drop by a lot of long-term injuries. At 28-year-old’s his most recent injury saw him rupture his cruciate ligament, possibly leaving him out of action until next year.

However, notwithstanding his injury problems, a couple of top European clubs are thought to be preparing New Year offers for the Germany international playmaker, with his deal at the club set to run out at the end of the League season. The same publication claims the two English heavyweights represent two of these teams, with both sides known to be on searching for reinforcements on the flank.

Arsene Wenger and Arsenal are readying for the likely exit of Chilean Alexis Sanchez, either in the New Year or next summer, and have been strongly linked with a transfer for Marco Reus on several occasions in time past.

In addition to Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United and Wenger’s Arsenal, all of Bayern Munich, Paris Saint Germain and FC Barcelona are also believed to be keen on Reus’ signature, with his Bundesliga club set for a major battle to keep their gifted attacker.
