Get Out! Fans call for Chelsea Superstar to retire after milestone

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill played his 250th match for the Blues in Saturday’s English Premier League encounter against Watford at the Bridge.

The 31-year-old center-back joined the Premier League Champions from Bolton Wanderers back in 2012, and is now the side’s captain following long-term Captain John Terry’s exit during the recently shut summer transfer window.

The England international defender actually netted eight goals in 43 matches for the Blues last campaign and was praised for his display in the club’s title-winning season.

The defender’s form at the back has been slightly dropped in the early stages of this campaign, however, with the Blues struggling for consistency.

Manager Antonio Conte has opted to stick with a 3-4-3 setup this League season, but the Blues have been poor at the back over the last couple of weeks – conceding seven goals in their last three games.

On Saturday afternoon, Chelsea’s official Twitter handle paid tribute to the former Bolton defender on his 250th appearance for the West London club, but the same cannot be said for the side’s fans.

Several tweets from some fans yesterday indicated that most of them want the club captain out of the team as soon as possible as they believe he’s more of a calamity to the team than an asset.
