Manchester United Receive Boost To Sign Spanish Star With £25M After Mix-up With Manager

According to new reports, English premier league giants Manchester United are considering a summer bid for Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba.

The Manchester Evening News stated that Alba would be keen on joining Manchester United, insisting that the Spanish star is an ‘admirer’ of Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.

The left -back is presently with his national side for the international break and his comments appeared to aim a dig at the embattled Barcelona boss over his lack of playing time at the Spanish club.

As things stands now, the talented player still has three years remaining on his current contract with the La Liga giants and he is reportedly valued at £25 million.

But despite his contract, it was reported that the 28-year-old is very much unsettled at the Camp Nou club following  Luis Enrique’s 3-4-3 formation switch. He was dropped for his side’s games against Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Leganes and even the second leg of their Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain at Camp Nou.

Nevertheless, despite his lack of playing time, he has made the decision to wait until the management reveals the new boss who will take over from Luiz Enrique before deciding his future at the club.

He stated that he is not having minutes at Barcelona like he would love to, but coming to the national team with the knowledge that his country’s manager Julen Lopetegui has confidence in him gives him strength
