England defender Phil Jones left the game against Huddersfield unaided after picking an injury during his club’s 2-1 premier league defeat on Saturday.
The player limped off after just 20 minutes and it appears all is not fine with him.
Summer signing Victor Lindelof replaced him after his removal, and the former Benfica defender was partly blamed for the two goals scored by the home side in the first half.
Phil has been very much impressive this season so far for Man United at the defence department, and Mourinho cannot afford to be without him at a time like this.
Other defenders like Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly are also out, and the Old Trafford club will be playing Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea for their next two premier league games.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Phil gave his club a boost by leaving Yorkshire all by himself and seemed to be in good spirits.
Manchester United will face Swansea City on Wednesday for their next League Cup game before playing Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday for their next premier league game.
Manager Jose Mourinho has also made it known that Ivorian star player Eric Bailly should be fit for the Saturday game against Spurs, while Marcos is expected to be back to full fitness in two weeks.
