Premier League Club To Block Liverpool’s Move For Another Target

Liverpool just like many other clubs are having difficulties bringing in major targets this summer.

Few hours ago, it was confirmed that the Anfield club have backed out on the signing of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig, and the club CEO also admits the player will stay with them for the upcoming campaign.

Right now, the London Evening Standard are reporting that they will fail in their approach for West Ham star Manuel Lanzini, after the player emerged as one of their targets this summer.

It is understood that the reds have identified Lanzini as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho should the samba star decide moving to Barcelona this summer.

The Brazil international is being linked with a hefty £80 million move to Camp Nou with Neymar looking set to complete £195 million move to PSG.

However, Liverpool are understood to remain committed to keeping hold of Coutinho this summer and remains adamant on selling him, rejecting bids from the Catalan giants.

Despite all this, there are still various reports that Jurgen Klopp’s side have been monitoring Manuel for some time after his impressive performances at West Ham.

Following the departure of Dimitri Payet from West Ham, the Argentina midfielder stepped up to control the helms, and has become an important member for the Hammers.
