Chelsea has been in superb form in the premier league in recent weeks. Since losing in September to Arsenal, the blues have been on a five match winning run scoring 16 goals and conceding none in the process.
This turn around has been attributed largely to the change of formation of manager Antonio Conte. Shifting to a 3-4-3 formation has given Chelsea more defensive steel and at the same time has made their attack more deadly. The good run has brought some rewards as Chelsea are now placed second on the table a point behind leaders Liverpool and look like genuine challengers for the league.
In a bid to ensure Chelsea maintains their excellent form as well as boost their chances of winning the premier league title, manager Antonio Conte is seeking to improve his midfield by adding two more players.
Italianfootballdaily citing the Daily Mail reports That Antonio Conte has targeted Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic and Paris Saint Germain’s Javier Pastore to improve his midfield options.
Though Brozovic is highly rated, he has only started playing regularly for Inter after falling out with the coaching staff of the club.
On the other hand, Pastore is highly rated in France but so far this season has found it tough to get a spot in the team under new coach Unai Emery. Emery replaced former coach Laurent Blanc during the summer and since his arrival, Pastore has found it difficult to get regular playing time and could be keen on a move.
The report states that Brozovic could cost 30 million Euros while Pastore Could make Chelsea cough out about 40 million Euros.
