Chelsea Hit With Another Blow: Bid For Major Star Target Rejected

Juventus star player Alex Sandro has emerged as a target for Chelsea this summer and has been heavily linked with the Stamford Bridge club in recent times.

However, it appears the Brazilian star won’t find himself at Stamford Bridge next season with news that the premier league champions have failed with a €70 million (£61.2m) offer for him.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the bid is the last one Chelsea will be offering and it does not include add-ons.

Juve have been constantly raising Sandro’s asking price this summer and now seem to have made the decision to keep him at the club.

It was also added that the Italian heavyweights are not interested in selling any more key players after allowing Leonardo Bonucci to join AC Milan few hours ago.

Leonardo had also been linked with reuniting with Antonio Conte at Chelsea but reportedly made the decision to remain at Italy because of his family.

Since Dani Alves is also expected to leave Turin anytime soon, it is understandable that the Serie A champions decide keeping Sandro, although it will likely add to Antonio Conte’s frustrations at Chelsea, having lost Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.

The Italian manager has however been able to land Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma but still needs an upgrade to Nigerian star Victor Moses.
