Confirmed! Spanish giant end interest in Arsenal star – Not Sanchez

According to Barcelona-based newspaper Sport, Spanish giants FC Barcelona have decided not to pursue Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin this summer.

The report claims the club’s new manager Ernesto Valverde recently held talks with Barcelona Chief’s and they concluded not to spend heavily – about £35million to sign the 22-year-old.

This follows a report in the Mirror that the Gunner would not allow the defender to leave the North London club for nothing less than £35million.

The report claims Barcelona believe that the full-back does not have the needed technical and physical ability to succeed at Camp Nou.

This latest report will come as a big relief to Arsenal fans as the Spaniard has been strongly linked with a transfer back to home country Spain throughout the summer.

The Evening Standard recently reported that the Spanish was handed an additional break from the pre-season tour of Australia following his participation in the recently concluded Under-21 European Championships with Spain, but the news in his home Country suggests that he will be involved with the Gunner’s first-team this summer.

Bellerin’s spell at Arsenal looks set to continue, and he still has the potential to be a big asset for Arsenal in the upcoming season.
