One of the top strikers heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer is Torino star player Andrea Belotti.

And right now, there are reports in Italy that the premier league champions are set to submit an offer close to £88 million for the Italian striker.

Italian news outlet La Stampa are reporting Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has informed the club that Belotti is his preference to replace departing Diego Costa for the upcoming campaign.

The Italy international has a €100m (£88m) release clause in his current deal with Torino and Chelsea are expected to make a bid close to that amount.

It was also added that Belotti’s club are getting close to completing the signing of Napoli striker Duvan Zapata as a replacement for him.

Antonio Conte’s side have been forced to look elsewhere after losing on long-term target Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United who officially made the move to Old Trafford for £75M on Monday.

Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is also back on Chelsea’s radar, but the Stamford Bridge club are still facing difficulties in their negotiations with his club.

Torino president Urbano Cairo has admitted that the player has attracted interest, but remains adamant that he won’t leave the club unless his release clause is activated.

Last season in the Italian top flight, Belotti played 35 games and scored 26 goals with 7 assists.
