Former Chelsea Star Juan Mata Congratulates Arsenal For Winning His Former Club

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has congratulated Arsene Wenger’s side for winning his former club in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Spanish star spent two-and-a-half seasons in West London before making the switch to Manchester, and he seems impressed with Arsenal’s 2-1 win over the Blues.

Before the game, lots of pundits favored Chelsea to emerge victorious after full time. However, the Gunners showcased a brilliant performance from the start of the game and actually deserve the cup.

Alexis Sanchez scored the early opener in the fourth minute, but Chelsea star forward Diego Costa equalized for his side, and it was Aaron Ramsey who sealed the winner for his side.

And former Chelsea star player Juan Mata, making comments after the Wembley clash on his blog, congratulates Arsene Wenger’s side for winning the FA Cup, rightly tagging it as ‘the last title of the season in England’, and the game was ‘a final with a very high pace.’

And Mata looking ahead to next season, also expressed his desire to win the FA Cup with his current side (alongside every other they can lay their hands on) next term.

Manchester United won the FA Cup last season, but couldn’t get the trophy back to back after being knocked out by Chelsea.

The Stamford Bridge club couldn’t win their London rivals Arsenal to lift the trophy, but are premier league champions and will be playing in the Champions League next season.
