Prior to the commencement of the international holiday, Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp had termed the Uefa Nations League as being ‘a senseless’ league.
Well, Klopp may be right to some extent as Liverpool seems to be at the receiving end of the effect from the various tournaments during the break.
Unlike Chelsea FC, who had only one of their key player, Antonio Ridiger injured, Liverpool have close to four key players injured during the international holiday break.
And we are certain that Klopp will be disheartened over what has happened to his players, although, some of them are already picking up, they are not yet 100 per cent fit.
Below are the list of Liverpool players that sustained injuries during the ongoing international holiday break.
1. Mohammed Salah – the Liverpool star sustained a leg injury while on international duty for his home country, Egypt in AFCON qualifiers matches against Swaziland – It is uncertain if Salah will play against Huddersfield this weekend.
2. Virgil van Dijk: the ace defender was dropped from Holland’s national squad over persisting pain from on his rib, an injury e sustained against Southampton.
3. Sadio Mane: the Senegal star injury is minor hopefully he gets better before the Huddersfield game.
