4-2-3-1 Formation: How Arsenal Could Line up vs Newcastle

Arsenal couldn’t win a single game from their last three premier league games and are now out of the top four on the premier league table.

They will, however, hope to get back to winning ways when they clash with Newcastle United this weekend, knowing fully well that a win could move them a step higher in the rankings.

And as far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, the duo of Aaron Ramsey and Shkodran Mustafi are not expected to participate in the game against Rafa Benitez’s side due to injuries.

Ramsey has a hamstring concern while Mustafi is still held back by his thigh.

We expect manager Arsene Wenger to make use of a 4-2-3-1 system against the Magpies, starting the duo of Monreal and Koscielny in the central defense.

Kolasinac should be in the left back position, while Bellerin should be in the right.

Mohamed Elneny should take care of the center of the park alongside Xhaka.

The trio of Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil should start behind lone center forward Alexandre Lacazette in the front of attack.

Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI this weekend.

GK – Cech
DL – Kolasinac
DC – Monreal
DC – Bellerin
DR – Koscielny
MC – Xhaka
MC – Elneny
AL – Iwobi
AC – Ozil
AR – Alexis
FC – Lacazette
