Update: Arsenal To Battle Man City, PSG For £50,000-a-week Star Player

English Premier League Arsenal will have to fend off the challenges of other European heavyweights like French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and fellow league side Manchester City in the race to sign in-form Borussia Dortmund forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang next summer.

Aubameyang is widely regarded as one of the leading marksmen in world football and has netted 99 goals in 163 matches for the Signa Iduna Park outfit.

According to popular German news outlet Bild, Borussia Dortmund are resigned to losing the Gabon striker in the summer.

Arsenal’s competitors namely Manchester City and French champions PSG had earlier expressed their interest this summer but the former Saint Etienne of France star stayed at his German club. As per a report from Talksport, he could leave for around £45m in the summer of 2017 if Borussia Dortmund receive an offer like that for his services.

While the battle for Aubameyang go on Arsenal have relied on Chilean star Alexis Sanchez, who has in turn not disappointed with 14 goals already in all competitions following his latest strike against Everton in a 2-1 defeat on Wednesday night as he hopes to help the Gunners win their first title in 13 years. He is the second topscorer in the EPL with 12 goals.
