United preparing bid for Mourinho replacement

Manchester United seem to be preparing to part ways with manager Jose Mourinho and have turned attention to Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as his possible replacement at the Old Trafford.

This is according to a report by The Sun which hints that the Red Devils have agreed to submit a bid of about £40 million for the Argentina international manager.

It has not been a good season for the Portuguese manager having struggled with inconsistent results at the Old Trafford which has left him in the eighth position in the Premier League table.

In what seems to be unacceptable to the club, knowing their history, United have only managed six wins so far this season in 15 games and conceding 25 games as well.

This has therefore raised questions over the ability of the former Chelsea boss to turn things around at the club.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been tipped to take over the job having led his side to two consecutive Champions League football ahead of their North London rival Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino is also impressing with his side this season as they are currently third in the Premier League table as well as being a strong contender for the title this season.
