North London club Arsenal face a tough battle to keep hold of their top stars this summer transfer window, but there is the willingness from Arsenal to do business in some aspects, as per reports.
According to The Daily Star, Arsenal are requesting £20m for England midfielder Jack Wilshere, who faces uncertainty over his future at the North London club as he enters the final year of his contract with yet another injury and the fact that he is unavailable for pre-season training.
The Gunner’s midfield depth means the 25-year-old midfield maestro may be seen as surplus to requirements and there has been interests reported from Serie A outfit Sampdoria and fellow English Premier League side West Ham, although, Arsenal have bold requests.
The midfielder, a boyhood fan of London club West Ham, Jack Wilshere may see a move to the London club as an opportunity to rebuild his promising football career and add to his 34 caps for England, as he aims to fight back in the coming months and possibly seal a spot in Gareth Southgate’s FIFA World Cup squad.
West Ham’s transfer plans don’t seem to incorporate the midfielder though and the Gunner’s requests may mean the London club reject the chance to make a move.
