Phil Jones

Emerging reports indicate that Manchester United star defender Phil Jones is not in any way giving up on his ambition to quit the club in the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

It was earlier reported that Phil Jones was to meet with the United management to sort out issues relating to his future but that is yet to happen with an opportunity to hold meeting yet to be made available.

This according to report will not hinder the player into making a move away as he seeks for a new challenge elsewhere.

The 26-year-old will be out of contract at United at the end of the season but the club have got a clause that will have him forcefully remain for another 12 months which could be triggered.

Phil Jones is not interested in another stay with the Red Devils and will want to quit despite the interest of the boss Jose Mourinho in him.

Life for Phil Jones at United has been frustrating as a result of the series of injuries he has had which limited his playing time.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is desperate in need of defenders and has made it clear of his intention to go all out into the winter market for more additions.
