Transfer News: Barcelona Star Ivan Rakitic Revealed Decision About Deal

Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic has been linked away from Camp Nou and it is stated that teams like Manchester United, Juventus and Chelsea are interested in getting his signature.

Nevertheless, Mundo Deportivo reported that  Ivan Rakitic is set to dismiss interest from Jose Mourinho and sign a new deal at Camp Nou.

The Croatian has been a key player since his arrival from Sevilla in 2014 but has unfortunately recently lost importance following the signings of other players like Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez.

This season however, Rakitic who was rated €44M has started 10 of Barcelona’s 15 La Liga games and can still be seen as a key part of the squad therefore it is expected that he would sign a new deal at the club.

This season in La Liga, he has scored two goals, creating 11 chances and 1 assist. Also, the 28 year old has completed 556 passes this season with a pass accuracy of 88%, of which 68% were forward passes.

In November, Arturo Canales, Rakitic’s agent, insisted that the player is “very happy” at Camp Nou.

“Ivan is very happy at FC Barcelona, where he has been tremendously successful and has a contract with the club until 2019,” the agent said as reported by Manchester Evening News.
