Tottenham vs Arsenal: Mauricio Sends Message To Arsenal Ahead Of Derby

Ahead of the huge north London derby at White Hart Lane on Sunday, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has thrown a little dig at Arsene Wenger’s side.

The manager insisted that his side have better ambitions than simply finishing above the Emirate club.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to host Arsenal in their next premier league game at home on Sunday, and if Mauricio Pochettino’s side should get the three points successfully, a new stat would be created: The First Time Tottenham Will Finish Above Arsenal Since The 1994/1995 Season.

The season is coming to an end in the English top flight, and there are just five games left to be played. Tottenham has impressively reduced Chelsea’s lead above the table to four and will add more pressure on Antonio Conte’s side if they should get the full three points against Arsenal.

Tottenham are planning to move into a new stadium, and so, the London derby against Arsenal on Sunday will be the last London derby played at White Hart Lane between the two clubs.

Arsenal are currently in the sixth position on the premier league table and are in needs of maximum points to be able to end among the top four at the end of the season. But Mauricio insists that his men are focusing on the title above all others.

Pochettino stated that there is no distractions, and that their focus is trying to win and not about to be above Arsenal.

He claimed that his major challenge is to reduce the gap with the blues and focusing on bigger things than finishing above Arsenal.
