Earlier this month when Chelsea lost 2-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the premier league, the blues fans were not the most happiest set of people on earth.
Apart from the fact that no team loves losing (especially to rival clubs), the game was a crucial one that saw their title rival Tottenham Hotspur reducing their gap at the top of the table.
Additionally, during the encounter at Old Trafford, Chelsea fans were frustrated because their players simply seem helpless – including their Belgian star Eden Hazard.
Man United player that received the accolades for keeping Hazard quiet in the game is Spanish star Ander Herrera.
However, Herrera has expressed that in his own opinion, the best player in the English top flight this season is the Belgium international.
Herrera, who has confessed that it wasn’t too easy keeping Hazard away from having an impact on the game, feels the Belgian is the Premier League’s best player this season.
The Belgian forward has been in fine form for the English club this term and has scored 15 times in the Premier League to help Conte’s side dominate the top of the Premier League table.
He missed out on the PFA player of the year award for this term, and it was his teammate N’Golo Kante who went home with the award.
He however helped his side proceed to the FA Cup final, and to also get all three points in their last premier league game against Crystal Palace.
