Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in recent times, and there are widespread speculations that he is trying to move back to his former side Manchester United.
However, the talented player has recently made it known that his desire is to remain at the Bernabeu and is not ready to leave the Madrid club.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United in 2009 and has gone ahead to become a very important member of the club. He has won the Ballon d’Or on five different occasions and has won three Champions League trophies for Real Madrid – as well as two La Liga titles.
Despite all these, the Portuguese international has been heavily linked with a move away from the club with claims that he isn’t happy for not being appropriately rewarded for his services.
It was said that Ronaldo had been hoping to be offered a new deal close to what Lionel Messi currently earns at Barcelona, but his side are not ready to offer him that.
However, speaking recently to Dongqiudi, the 32-year-old said he is happy at Real Madrid and he desires to stay at the Bernabeu.
“I love [Real Madrid]” he told the Chinese football app.
Manchester United signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal on Monday, and the Chilean star made his debut for his new club on Friday night at Yeovil Town.
