Should Chelsea Splash A Whopping 442million To Get This Player’s Signature?

According to reports coming from Spain, Real Madrid star player Marco Asensio is not currently happy at the Bernabeu this season due to his lack of regular playing time in Zinedine Zidane’s squad.

Asensio was superb at the club last season and was also brilliant at the start of the new term.

However, since signing a new deal with the La Liga champions this September, he has been struggling for regular first-team actions at the club.

Marco put pen on paper for a new deal that ties him to Real Madrid until 2023, with a 442million release clause.

The Spanish player was linked with Arsenal during the past summer transfer window, with suggestions he could come over to the Emirates Stadium to replace Alexis Sanchez – who was popularly expected to join Manchester City before the closure of the window.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also understood to be monitoring the player’s situation at Real Madrid, although the Spaniard claimed he is happy at the Bernabeu despite his limited opportunities.

This season so far, he has started just 9 of Real Madrid 17 La Liga games despite Gareth Bale’s injuries and Isco’s current unimpressive form.

In your opinion, should Chelsea splash a whopping 442million to get his signature?
