Star Player Out – Arsenal’s Likely 3-4-2-1 Starting XI Vs Southampton

Arsene Wenger’s side were humiliated by Man United last Saturday in the premier league, but they returned to winning ways by thrashing BATE Borisov 6-0 in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Up next, the French boss will lead his men to the St Mary’s Stadium to clash with Southampton, and will be hoping to earn all three points from the encounter.

And as far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, we expect most of the key stars that were rested for the Europa League game to return on Sunday.

But German defender Shkodran Mustafi has been ruled out with injury, and won’t be able to participate in the Sunday’s game at the St Mary’s Stadium.

In Mustafi’s place, we expect Wenger to start Per Mertesacker in the backside alongside the duo of Koscielny and Monreal.

Xhaka and Ramsey should take care of the centre of the park while Bellerin and Kolasinac should play in the wing-back positions.

Up front, we expect Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to partner and support centre forward Alexandre Lacazette.

With Cech in-between the sticks, here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 3-4-2-1 XI against the Saints.

GK – Cech
DC – Monreal
DC – Koscielny
DC – Per
ML – Kolasinac
MC – Xhaka
MC – Ramsey
MR – Bellerin
AC – Alexis
AC – Sanchez
FC – Lacazette
