Dean Henderson

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly set to make a surprise offer for Manchester United goalie, Dean Henderson who is currently on a loan deal with Championship side Shrewsbury.

The 21-year-old netminder is set to move out of the former Premier League Champions as a free agent in the summer after failing to renew his United contract which will expire by the end of the season.

The Gunners were linked with a move for the youngster during last transfer window but they didn’t make an official approach for his services as Wenger was reportedly waiting for him to end his contract with the Red Devils.

The Frenchman is hoping to find a new goalkeeper ahead of next season having seen his first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech made some costly errors throughout the season.

The Czech international seems to be out of his usual blistering form and Wenger might just sell him to an interested club when the summer transfer window begins in three months time.

Arsenal’s second choice goalie David Ospina is also being tipped to move out of the North London Club as he is not getting much time on the pitch.

The Colombian netminder is not happy with the treatment he has gotten so far from Wenger since his 2014 move to the Emirates stadium.

Henderson has been phenomenal for Shrewsbury in their race to gain promotion to the country’s topflight league by the end of the season, he has kept 13 clean sheets and conceded 24 after 32 round of matches to put the team in the fourth position in the championship table.
