Sad news for Arsenal as Doctors rule superstar out of Chelsea clash

North London giants Arsenal could be without German Superstar Mesut Ozil for their opening fixture of the year 2018 against Premier League Champion Chelsea.

Arsenal will play host to the Blues at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday and now seems to be without their star midfielder following a knee injury he sustained recently which also saw the midfielder miss out on the weekend’s encounter with West Bromwich Albion.

According to a report by the Mirror, the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder is a big doubt for Arsene Wenger against the Blues this week.

This will come as a big loss with Mesut Ozil having been in fine form lately. The German has scored four goals and made five assists so far in the English Premier League and has silenced critiques that had formerly questioned his ability and commitment.

The Blues, on the other hand, will go into the match at the Emirates Stadium with a lot of momentum after a victorious 5-0 win over Stoke City last weekend.

Antonio Conte’s side have leapt above Jose Mourinho tutored Manchester United into second spot in the English Premier League and have even taken a lot out of Manchester City’s lead at the apex following Pep Guardiola’s team dropping two points during a goalless draw at Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace.
