Arsenal transfer target Algerian Riyad Mahrez will have his future settled by August 11 as former Premier League Champions Leicester City seek to get some clarity on the future of the African.
The Algeria international attacker has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, having made clear his intent to leave the King Power Stadium earlier in the summer, and Arsenal and AS Roma the two main suitors in the race to sign the winger.
Leicester are becoming less sure over the future of the winger but will look to secure a transfer fee of between £30-35m for his signature this summer transfer window and hope for a bidding war between the various interested clubs.
According to reports, AS Roma have already agreed on personal terms with the 26-year-old winger, but Mauricio Pochettino is watching closely the developments over his future, and no offer has yet been submitted from the Emirate who are concentrating their efforts on signing Monaco starlet Thomas Lemar.
And according to Italian publication Il Messaggero, the former Premier League Champions – Leicester have set all interested clubs including Arsenal a deadline of August 11 to make up their mind and table a deal as Foxes’ manager Craig Shakespeare try to ensure the transfer saga does not affect his side’s start to the League season.
