Premier League Title: Liverpool Favourites Ahead Of Man City

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that Premier League champions Manchester City are the favourites to retain the title they won last season.

The former Liverpool defender revealed that the Premier League title is Manchester City’s to lose.

Jamie Carragher made this known in an interview monitored by popular media outlet Goal.

Liverpool are the current recipient of the top spot on the Premier League table after their latest win last weekend.

Substitute James Milner scored in the 81st minute to give Liverpool a priceless win that was enough to lift the Reds ahead of title rivals Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool had earlier taken a first half lead through Sadio Mane before Fulham equalised in the 74th minute.

The Cottagers levelled proceedings through former Reds winger Ryan Babel after an uncharacteristic mix-up between Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker.

Liverpool recovered from that little setback to secure three points via the penalty from the aforementioned Milner.

Liverpool have seven games to go in this season’s Premier League campaign and they have a two-point lead over Manchester City who have eight games left to play this term.

The Reds secured summit on the Premier League table after the 2-1 win over Fulham at the Craven Cottage last Sunday.
