After a brilliant start to life at Ibrox ground, Liverpool’s youngster Ovie Ejaria who is on loan at Scottish side Rangers is reportedly set to terminate his loan deal in January.
According to Yahoo Sports, the striker is unhappy under head coach Stephen Gerrard, hence, the Reds are reportedly set to recall him back to Anfield in January.
Though he started the season in fine form, his recent performances have left so much to be desired and he’s being tipped to be heading back to his parent club.
According to Rangers manager Stephen Gerrard who is an Anfield legend, Ejaria was awesome in his first couple weeks with the team, however, he’s experiencing a deep in form.
The former England international hasn’t confirmed the player’s decision to leave yet, neither does he ruled out the possibility that his compatriot could be on his way back to the Reds in January.
He reaffirmed he won’t stop the youngster from proceeding with his decision, though, he will have a heart-to-heart talk with Ejaria to know the cogent reason behind his recent uninspiring display.
Is he really needed at Anfield?
It is obvious the young forward is not needed at Anfield as he won’t be able to make Klopp’s squad list not to talk of getting more game time.
Dominic Solanke who has proven his qualities on countless occasions with England’s U21 side is finding it hard to get into the team and he’s said to be on his way out of the team in January.
Summer signings – Keita and Fabinho, haven’t been given the opportunity to feature regularly since the start of the season, despite their respective exploits in their former clubs.
Having seen how players compete with themselves for a place in Germany’s first-team squad, going back to Anfield isn’t the best option for the youngster.
What Next for Ejaria
Should he eventually return back to Anfield in the next transfer market, Ejaria won’t be given any first-team minute by Jurgen Klopp throughout the season unless there is a massive injury crisis.
The best way forward for the England international is to seek another loan move out of Anfield.
Ejaria is a brilliant and versatile player, hence, he won’t lack suitors as soon as he’s declared surplus to requirements by the Reds.
He needs a move to any mid-table club where he can show off his potentials without pressure or inconvenience.
