Liverpool star ‘tells manager he won’t play for the club again.’

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is refusing to change his mind over a transfer away from Merseyside club Liverpool – even if it costs him his place in the National team at the FIFA World Cup next year.

The Brazil international wants to secure a transfer to Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona but the Reds are refusing to let him leave.

Coutinho wants to quit the club to secure a sensational move to Barcelona after the Reds turned down two offers for him.

Last week, Liverpool issued a press statement insisting the Brazilian would not exit the club, but the attacker has submitted a transfer request in a bid to push through the transfer.

According to reports, Coutinho, who is currently suffering from a back injury, has even told Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp he will never play for the Anfield club again.

And now, all indication shows that he is so determined to leave the club, the Brazilian is even ready to risk his place in his National team squad for next summer World Cup.

As per Mundo Deportivo, Coutinho is set to sit in the stands for the remainder of the League season if the Reds do not approve his departure.

The 25-year-old midfielder is keen to move to Barcelona as manager Ernesto Valverde looks to strengthen his squad.
