According to the Sun, Serie A Champions Juventus are preparing a £22.5million offer for Belgium and Manchester United midfield maestro Marouane Fellaini.
The Belgian has been a dividing figure among fans ever since he joined the Manchester club in 2013 and while he may not be able to win over the heart of everyone associated with the club, there is no doubt that Fellaini is considered an important player by boss Jose Mourinho.
In fact, the Belgian featured regularly for Manchester United under previous managers David Moyes, and Louis van Gaal and the Portuguese tactician has always defended the midfielder over the past one year despite a lot of sticks directed at him from the media and fans alike.
Fellaini may have successfully won over the heart of manager Jose Mourinho, but the recent signing of Serbian Nemanja Matic from rivals Chelsea could see the 29-year-old’s game time reduced during the season, and a transfer away from the club is very likely.
The Sun is now reporting that Juventus are currently considering a transfer move for Fellaini.
The Serie A giants first choice is Paris Saint Germain’s Blaise Matuidi, but should they miss out on signing him, Juventus boss Max Allegri is said to be willing to sign Fellaini and will be prepared to pay £22.5million for the big midfielder.
