Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has revealed that the fine performance displayed by skipper Mesut Ozil should not be a surprise to anyone who has known the player for a while.
According to him, Ozil has proven to be a top class player over the years and it is evident, noting that the only reason he has been short of performance is the fact that he has been played out of position.
Mustafi affirms that Ozil will give a world class performance each time he is drafted to his favourite position which is playing behind the strikers.
The Arsenal defender says should Ozil play the right position, he is capable of doing anything, even more than he showed in the game against the Foxes.
It would be recalled that the player was reportedly unhappy under former manager Arsene Wenger who always played him out of position.
Ozil had delivered a world class performance in Arsenal’s 3-1 win against Leicester City in addition to scoring a fine goal which brought the North London side back into the game after a being down by a goal.
The Gunners have now extended their wins to 10 at a stretch in all competitions and 7 in the Premier League.
