Ligue 1 side desperately keen on keeping Arsenal target beyond January

French Ligue 1 club Olympique Lyonnais are prepared to do everything they can to keep hold of Arsenal target Nabil Fekir beyond the winter transfer window with the English Premier League side keen on securing his services, as per Sport.

Lyon Supremo Jean Michel Aulas has disclosed that the star player is being targeted by top clubs across Europe, including North London giant Arsenal.

However, the club President, who was talking to SFR Sport 1 thinks that the youngster will stay back at the French Ligue 1 club until at least next summer.

The Gunners have been trying so hard to secure the signature of the player for the past few years but the transfer has never happened.

With the Emirates club set to lose top players like Chilean Alexis Sanchez and German Mesut Ozil, Arsenal need to begin thinking of replacing them and French tactician Arsene Wenger has Nabil Fekir high on his wish list of winter transfer targets.

The youngster is also expected to be incited to the France national team squad for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Russia and Lyon President Aulas believes that brilliant displays at the World cup the forward at the World showpiece will enhance his market value.

He recently shone like million stars in the Europa League for the French side against Everton.
