Marcus Rashford has signed a new contract to remain at Manchester United until 2020, with the in-form striker waiting to see if he will celebrate his extension with a call-up to England’s Euro 2016 Championship squad.
The English club recently announced that Rashford has signed a new long-term deal to keep him at Old Trafford for many years to come.
The 18-year old has made massive progress under former boss Louis van Gaal, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances as a Man United man. Not only has he been enjoying a sensational breakthrough with his club but also at the international level, as he was called up to join his national team at the beginning of the year.
Due to his impressive form last season, Manchester United has rewarded the striker with a £20,000-a-week deal, which will last until 2020. He will also have the option to extend for a further year.
Furthermore, the England international caught the eyes of head coach Roy Hodgson, as he was quickly called up to the England squad in February and scored 138 seconds into his international debut.
The Red Devil winger was ecstatic to have signed a new deal with his club.
“I am delighted to have signed a new contract, I have always been a Manchester United fan so to be playing in the first team really is a dream come true. I am grateful for having the chance to prove myself.
“To be able to play football at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.”
United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward praised Rashford’s talents, and claimed that the England international – who scored on his debut against Australia last Friday – has a bright future ahead of himself
