Manchester United are ready to complete a stunning £51million transfer for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.
The Croatian ace has been a subject of transfer interest from several clubs in Europe due to his impressive displays in the Serie A with Inter, scoring nine goals and three assists in the current campaign.
The likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old in the past, but reports in Gazaetta dello Sport suggests that Jose Mourinho has moved ahead of his Premier League rivals.
The Portuguese boss was spotted in Zagreb during the last international break, with suggestions that he went to meet with Perisic’s agent to thrash a deal but the United boss has since then debunked the suggestions, claiming he was there on a personal trip.
However, it is understood that Manchester United are keen on splashing the cash on the Croatian, and will bid up to £51million during the next summer transfer window.
Mourinho is believed to be considering summer spree at the Old Trafford and has identified several targets to revamp the United squad, but might also lose few players who are frustrated at their lack of playing chances at the Old Trafford.
