According to renowned Scottish reporter Duncan Castles, former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is the favourite to replace Antonio Conte at Chelsea.
Conte endured difficult second season
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has endured a tough second campaign at Stamford Bridge despite winning the English Premier League title last season.
The Blues finished in fifth position in the English Premier League log and 30 points behind Manchester City in the just-concluded campaign.
Chelsea managed to end the campaign on a positive note after the Blues were 1-0 winners against rivals Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final.
The Blues boss has been heavily linked with a potential departure after falling out with Chelsea board over recent transfers in the past one year.
Enrique linked with Chelsea again
The former Barcelona tactician has been strongly linked with an appointment at Stamford bridge considering the uncertainty surrounding Antonio Conte’s future at the West London club.
The Scottish football reporter believes Louis Enrique is leading the race to become the next head coach at the west London club.
The West Londoner’s signed Everton attacker Ross Barkley, Emerson Palmieri from Roma and Olivier Giroud in the winter transfer window.
Chelsea won the English Premier League and the Emirates FA Cup in their two campaigns under Antonio Conte following his appointment as Dutchman Guus Hiddink’s replacement.
