Man United Favourite To Sign 28-year-old Arsenal star After Failed Contract Talks

According to reports emanating from Germany this morning, Manchester United are the favourites to sign Arsenal contract rebel Mesut Özil after contract negotiations have ceased as per Sport Witness.

Well, it isn’t exactly the best news to receive. The transfer window may have been slammed shut, but that does not seem to stop Arsenal star players being linked with transfers away from the North London club.

Germany international Mesut Özil is the next bg name player being linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium with a couple of high profile sides including Premier League giant Manchester United reportedly keen on him.

Mesut Ozil’s deal at the club is due to run out at the end of this season, and there is little sign that the German will sign a new contract.

In fact, German Publication SportBild claims that the Gunners have not sat down with the player to discuss contract renewal since February this year.

Chile international Alexis Sanchez is in the same situation as the midfield maestro. Both players’ deals run out next summer, and it looks like Arsenal are prepared to lose both stars on free transfers.

Fans of the London club are divided on Ozil’s performances, but it’s a ridiculous scenario to lose Arsenal’s second most expensive player ever on a free transfer.
